Schlomann Reception

We had several centerpiece looks for Sara. Top is an arrangement of yellow lilies, ranunculus and hypericum berries. Next are tall arrangements of hot pink glads and greenery atop a silver cylinder vase. On the right are orange roses, Bells of Ireland and greenery atop a black cylinder. The cakes were placed on rectangular vases of varying heights with led lights shining down on a yellow lily surrounded by lilies, roses, cymbidiums and hypericum berries. We can look for teal/aqua being a trendy accent color for a while yet.

Sara Schlomann

An absolutely fabulous looking Sara Schlomann. I first made her a silk version of this bouquet of green cymbidiums, purple mini calla lilies and orange roses for her to take to Mexico where she and Weston were married. They had their reception in Columbia upon their return and I created a fresh version of her bouquet, wearable flowers, some serious centerpieces and cake flowers (next post.) This was an all-out affair that I was proud to be a part of. Thank you Sara!

calla lilies and cymbidiums

Here we have some lovely designs for Naida Seeyle. Her bouquet was of calla lilies collared with green cymbidium orchids. Her altar piece was a grouped arrangement of calla lilies, green roses, Italian ruscus, curly willow and hanging amaranthus. Her centerpieces consisted of 4 cube vases tied together with green and black ribbon, floating candles, green rocks and fuji mums. I have always loved combining green and white. Fresh, calm clean and cool. Naiada brought some great ideas to the table that were both beautiful and cohesive. Props to my strong right arm, Amber Kadera who handled the ceremony setup like a true pro!

Jennifer Huynh

Gorgeous Jennifer was a pleasure to work with and made great choices with her floral selections. Her bouquet was made of voluptuous black magic roses and stephanotis with black pearl pins The center pieces show an Asian influence. Tall centerpieces were created with roses and black curly willow wrapped with red decorative wire. The low centerpieces utilized a river cane tripod with a back magic rose set in a bowl of river stones.

the mighty monarch

This monarch has claimed the garden as his kingdom (note his mexican sunflower throne in pic2). He's very territorial, but is starting to tolerate me.

summer's end

Bouquets of sunflowers, celosia (top), solidago, montecasino, thistle and craspedia. The craspedia (billy balls) also makes a really fun boutonniere. Great September flowers.

red roses and white calla lilies

Red roses and white calla lilies with a red and white braided handle. You've heard me espouse the virtues of this combination before so I won't bother, but it sure is lovely.

Boyd Ceremony

Pretty self explanatory post of beautiful people. Top shows Marisa next to one of her altar pieces of red gladiolas, hypericum berries, seeded eucalyptus and dried mushrooms. The groom, Michael will  henceforth be referred to as Mr. GQ.
