Jill and Aaron Christmas

Some of the decor from Jill Lawrence and Aaron Juckette's home. I really dig the copper, gold and pewter motif. I'm especially fond of the 2nd piece which was red 15 minutes earlier. I wish you both much happiness!

Rachel Mills

A couple more beautiful pics of our C.M.B. model Rachel Mills.

Cindy and Jon Juckette Christmas

As soon as wedding season ends (there are still a few in December) I go right into Christmas decorating. Cindy and Jon have had me in their home before as a design consultant so I know their tastes. Their home has lots of warm colors, so along with the coppers, burgundy and browns we used some green as an accent color. This tree concept was Cindy's idea (and a good one) I just executed it for her and made some accompanying pieces. I really like this color combo (it's a lot like my dining room tree so I am biased.) Great ideas Cindy and always a pleasure to work with you!

phalaenopsis and roses

When I make bouquets for friends I generally like to hand tie them just like a bridal bouquet, there's just something pure about arranging flowers in your hand. Some magenta stock, orange roses, and green hypericum (yeah even I can't resist a managers special on flowers when shopping sometimes.) The phalaenopsis blooms were from one our plants with the blooms removed from the stem and individually wired in.

butterfly house 2.5

A few more from the last Butterfly House trip. The top image which is my favorite  have  not yet been able to identify (I haven't been able to find the knowledgeable volunteer, but I'm sure there's one there.) The other 2 are owl spots and the very photogenic paper kite.

central missouri bride 3

Some shots from another great session for Central Missouri Bride magazine. The location is Westminster Church in Fulton Mo. Thanks to Travis Duncan's light skills the grey overcast day yielded some great shots! The model - Rachel Mills, hair and makeup by Catherine Crum, concept and styling by Stephanie Strobel. I'll post a link to Travis' blog when he gets some images up. The flowers: polar star roses and queen anne's lace, the handle of the bouquet and the neck of the vase are both finished with pearls.

butterfly house 2

More beauties from the Faust Park Butterfly House. Top is a Paper Kite. Other than none of these guys being North American I am clueless - send help.

Rachael and Pete

Rachael Bax and Pete Jones: gorgeous dress, gorgeous flowers and who doesn't like a man in Marine dress blues? This was a good deal for me, not only did I get to be a part of a beautiful wedding, I made 2 great new friends. The bouquet: ivory vandella roses, white mini calla lilies and white dendrobium orchids. Congrats guys!

eggplant and magenta

Beautiful and surprisingly fragrant magenta cymbidium orchids with the incredible "I'm bringin' sexy back" eggplant mini calla lily. Each cymbidium bloom is removed from a stem boasting 10 or more blooms and then individually wired into the bouquet. The black ribbon wrapped handle is finished with a strand of hand strung beads, a serious and gratifying endeavor.
