purple carnations

I made this bouquet almost as an afterthought for the Bridal U show. Carnations have gotten a bad rap over the last several years as being "common fare," but just look at these purple beauties! I made several bouquets using flowers that the ladies may not not have seen before but this was the one that attracted the most attention. Nowadays there many carnation hybrids that are just awesome that lend themselves to some exciting color combinations. We (including myself,) need to give these classic flowers a chance!

One of several bouquets for Natalie Imhoff's event, Bridal U. I had the pleasure of being a lecturer for this event along with several other wedding professionals from our area. Great event Natalie, and thank you for letting me address my passion! The key to a successful wedding show is to always make something you want to take home. Pincushion protea, orange mini calla lilies, "safari sunset" leucadendron, red hypericum berries and orange roses. More from pics from this event to come. Way to go Natalie!

rites of spring

Nothing says spring like an all bulb flower bouquet. A lovely mix of: hyacinths, grape hyacinths, tulips and narcissus.

early peonies

Some early hot pink peonies, lavender hyacinths, green hydrangeas and some neat-o purple/wine colored ranunculus.  I love peonies small or big, I love them like a greedy pig, I love peonies smell so fair, chicks should wear them in their hair.
